About Me

Hello! My name is Solomon N. Adams. I am a fourth-year Environmental Science and Resource Management student with a Marine and Coastal Systems emphasis. As someone who grew up in Orange County, California, I have always felt intimately connected to the ocean. Whether it be admiring the wealth of life California’s coasts have to offer, enjoying the incredible surf that we have here, or taking a coastal hike, the ocean has always been a place of wonder and joy for me. This passion has inspired me to pursue a career in coastal and marine conservation. At California State University, Channel Islands, I have developed a wealth of knowledge and skills pertaining to this field. My research and field work centers around the endangered northern tidewater goby (Eucyclogobius newberryi). I have also engaged in conservation work in Channel Islands National Park and trail maintenance in the Santa Monica Mountains National Recreation Area. I am working toward having an impact on the conservation of the bounty of life that California's coasts and oceans contain.
